I am a 22 years old software developer that is currently working on his Master Thesis for EURECOM in France and KTH in Stockholm (double degree).

I love what I do and I've been loving it for a long time, almost 10 years now. While my current specialization is AI, namely Medical/Image-AI, during the 10 years I experimented with multiple fields of computer science, from very hands-on experience such as building (and coding) robots to pure software such as building mobile apps.

I invite you to read more about my main projects below, but before that, I want to emphasize my ability to thrive in a team. From computer science projects and business pitches to volunteering and sports, stepping into both leadership and contributor roles has built my adaptability, discipline, and understanding of how to earn and give respect among peers.

My Journey

Sports

Active lifestyle since childhood that taught me discipline. I started with football when I was 7 and then tried tens of others, some of which stuck with me. Click to read more.

Robotics

Built and programmed autonomous robots since 13. First taste of engineering — mechanical design, electronics and embedded code working together, I absolutely loved it!

Medical AI

Master’s research at EURECOM and KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Working on medical AI pipelines combining segmentation models, foundation model fine-tuning, and VLM/LLM-based quality control for imaging and clinical workflows.

Software Engineering

When I started my robotics journey, it was around when I began highschool (with the specialization of Programming and Maths). Thanks to my amazing teacher, I quickly progressed and decided to make a career out of it.

The task is to design and develop a pipeline that integrates a QC Agent. Starting from a mask of an Arterial Segmentation (made from an MRA scan of the brain), this agent's task is to spot venous artifacts within this Arterial Segmentation. Spotting means visual aid and multi-class labeling.

Worked in a 3-man team to design and develop a 4-wheeled robot. Worked with C on STM32 Nucleo Boards and gained experience with Oscilloscope, Timers, Interrupts, RF/Bluetooth signals.

Starting from an Arterial Segmentation, the task is to extract a graph that resembles the segmentation (our reality) as closely as possible.

Reduced deviations from previous measurements by approximately a factor of 10. The resulting graph was used to compute vessel metrics and this approach directly contributed to the quantitative results presented in Caravel.

A 5-man team under Prof. Patric Jensfelt working for a semester to program a robot function in a workspace autonomously.

Pracitcal things: localization, path planning, inverse kinematics for the arm, object detection with rgb-d camera and finally the brain. We dived quite deep in ROS2 topics, services, nodes.

Designed and built a platform-as-a-service enabling configurable deployment of 30+ project types (services: 3dbsys, 5backends, 2 frontends, (or none)).

The platform was intended to help students easily deploy and showcase projects and theses.

First Tech Challenge is the biggest program for robotics in Romania. Between 2016-2023 I was a member/team leader/alumni.

It was how I was introduced to robotics and it's what made me get into programming. Example of one of our robots here.

Won a series of national awards dedicated to programming ingenuity or design innovation.

Sports

Bouldering

Bouldering 3-4x a week. Started it 2 years ago and it's probably my main sport currently, absolutely loving it!

Rowing

Part of Akademiska Roddföreningen during my stay in Stockholm. Training 5+ times a week and participated in multiple regattas.
Can't wait to go back!

Climbing

I think it's better than bouldering because of the adrenaline which really makes me feel alive, but unfortunately it's not so accesible.

Currently gathering all the necessary gear and learning the technique.

Snowboarding

Started snowboarding in 2018 and did it every year since. For the past 5-6 years, me and my friends go annually on a 7-day trip in a big resort in Europe.

My favourite winter sport.

Football

Football was the first sport I played competitively, starting at 7 years old. Unfortunately, I don't get it to play as much as I would like to nowadays, but everytime I get a chance, I'm ready!
